Yugi sighting

Yugi, our yellow tabby cat — which no one had spotted for several months and was presumed dead — showed up yesterday for a brief appearance. We petted and fed him, and then he disappeared behind the garage — presumably to go back to where he’s been living. I’m assuming he’s living the life of a wild cat in the woods.

He left soon after we got our new black cats — you can never have enough mouse catchers in the country! Ironically, our first cat — Tiger — left soon after we adopted Yugi. I guess that’s the circle of life!

On a side note, the temperature dropped below freezing last night and the leaves are dropping off the trees by the truck full this morning. Too bad, I was hoping to enjoy the fall foliage a little longer. It’s still great scenery, but it’s getting awful bare in some spots.
