Thomas Hill Lake

Since Spencer had to work today, and we’re his transportation for a few more weeks, Ann, Bennett and I went to Thomas Hill Lake today instead of Mark Twain Lake (our usual destination). Thomas Hill Lake is about 15 minutes north of Moberly and serves as the reservoir for the Thomas Hill power facility.

We had a GREAT time. We didn’t get to stay long, but the crowd was minimal and the water was SMOOTH. It was great riding!!! We rode for a few hours exploring the lake and swam for an hour or so. We finished up the day with a great picnic lunch.

All in all, it was an enjoyable day. (We also got a great deal on a new freezer at the Sears in Moberly — discontinued model + a Father’s Day special.)

I forgot to take pictures at the lake (sorry), but here’s one of Bennett on the jet ski in the driveway. FYI — Bennett drove the jet ski for the first time today and did extremely well.
