Saturday (or the day before the Superbowl)

Woke up this morning to a very tight and painful back. After months of exercising and stretching, my back felt wonderful for about six weeks. Then, soon after I tell a lot of people how good I felt, the troubles are back! However, it’s not as bad as before. Now it’s just tight…before I had shooting pains down my leg that would drop me to the floor.

After some stretching, it felt better so I went over to some friends to help them setup their TV for high definition for the Superbowl. I also helped them secure their computer so their kids couldn’t run wild on the Internet.

Then it was off to the store for the materials to make Italian rice balls. It was the first time I’d made them. Ann said they were good (her exact words were “your balls are tasty”). I made a big batch of them to take to Mark’s Superbowl party tomorrow. If you’re interested, you can click on this link to get the recipe.

Then it was some work in the office followed by TV. How exciting.

If you’re interested in some of my other activities, you can access the following links which talk about our press conference on Thursday announcing our plans to petition the Columbia City Council to repeal the smoking ban. No, I don’t smoke. I just believe in the rights of business owners to attract the customers of their choice. No need for government interference. There’s plenty of non-smoking venues. If you don’t like smoke, then don’t spend your money where smoking is allowed. When we constrain choice — especially government constraint — we all lose.

If you look closely, I was in some of the TV footage:

Columbia Daily Tribune (newspaper)

The Missourian (newspaper)

KOMU (NBC) — I’m in this clip!!!

That’s it for today. I’ll be at the Superbowl party tomorrow, but I’ll be sure to post some pics and videos on Monday.
